La Wren's Nest {Roman Cloaks}

Roman Cloaks Sagum \| Lacerna \| Paenula \| Abolla \| Paludamentum Capes are made from 100% wool. These capes are based upon the clothing worn during the Republic period through the Empire period of Rome. Each garment is handcrafted, so each piece is unique. Please Note: clothing is machine-stitched unless otherwise specified. Outside edges can be left unhemmed if the wearer prefers to hand-stitch the item himself/herself.

#RCL3000 - Lacerna - $75.00 Lacerna: A short lightweight, hoodless cloak with shoulder or front clasp. Available in Madder Red, Light Brown, Tan, Dark Brown and Navy Blue. Other colors by request.

#RCL3001 - Paenula (Round with hood) - $110 Paenula: Round Hooded Cloak. Available in Light Brown, Tan, Dark Brown, Navy Blue, Madder Red, Black and other colors by request.

#RCL3002 - Sagum - Wool Bedroll or Cloak - $70 Sagum: Wool Bedroll or Cloak, Rectangular with bound edges (60" wide by 3 yards long). Available in Light Brown, Tan, Dark Brown, Navy Blue, Madder Red and other colors by request.
#RCL3003 - Abolla - $70 rectangular military cloak normally worn folded double and fastened with a brooch on the right shoulder. Worn by officers in the army and general red in color. Size: 4 ft. x 8 ft.
#RCL3004 - Paludamentum - $70 military cloak worn by officers. It is the cloak which was put on by a Roman general when leaving the city for a campaign and doffed when he re-entered. Colors were varied. Size: 60" x 3 yds.
